About VIPRO
A Congolese company for clean cities.
VIPRO is a Congolese company registered in the DRC. Its goal: clean cities, where waste becomes energy, materials and paid work. To get there, it is building the whole chain: collect, sort, transform, and change habits along the way.
First mission: Kinshasa
24 districts, then the whole DRC, then Africa.
Our mission
Clean up the city, from the street to new materials.
Collect and sort
Drop-off points near homes, collectors paid by the kilo. Each material then goes to its own channel.
Transform
Plastic, metal and glass go to recyclers. The rest becomes fuel, then energy and materials.
Change habits
Green Attitude starts from the residents who already sort, district by district, with schools and markets.
The founder
Jordi Voluzolo
A Congolese entrepreneur, Jordi Voluzolo founded VIPRO to give waste treatment a strong identity, first in the DRC, then in other African countries.
How we work
With the people already doing the work.
VIPRO works with the people who already collect: independent collectors, associations, small businesses, recyclers. The programme plans equipment, buyers for their materials and regular payment by the kilo.
Start from the ground
Independent collectors, associations, small businesses, recyclers: the programme builds on them.
Equip and open markets
The programme plans equipment and buyers for each material.
Pay regularly, by the kilo
Every collector is paid by weight, after the weigh-in.
First mission
Kinshasa first. Then the DRC. Then Africa.
VIPRO is a Congolese company. The programme starts in the capital, one district at a time, with the people already doing the work: collectors, neighbourhood associations, recyclers. Once it runs in Kinshasa, it can be repeated elsewhere.
